Basketball is a one of the top sports. Players are able to participate at all ages and at all abilities, from young players learning to handle the ball to older, more experienced players who have the moves and know the strategies to play challenging ball.

We have something to offer for everyone during summer sports. A unique thing about summer sports is you can be in track and field as well as another sport. This gives you twice the fun.

Soccer and Bocce include both unified and traditional teams. Unified teams are made up of athletes with and without intellectual disabilities. Traditional teams consist of only athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Bowling is considered to be among the most popular sport in the Special Olympics. It ensures physical exercise and at the same time participation and social integration regardless of physical limitations.

Living in North Dakota we have a long winter season so embrace it by participating in Cross Country Skiing, Snow Shoe Racing or Downhill Skiing. All of these sports are life-long sports that can be done on your own or with family and friends.

This program introduces the young athletes in our community with intellectual or developmental disabilities to be active, have fun, learn foundational sports and introduce competition.
